Pomnik Stacha Konwy w Lesie Jednaczewskim zostanie ponownie odrestaurowany. Decyzję w tej sprawie podjął wójt gminy Łomża, Piotr Kłys wespół z łomżyńskim nadleśniczym Dariuszem Godlewskim. Główna, bardzo zniszczona drewniana część pomnika, zainstalowana 19 lat temu, została już zdemontowana przez druhów z Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej w Jednaczewie.
– W Wielki Piątek zadzwonił do mnie nadleśniczy Godlewski z informacją, że pomnik jest w katastrofalnym stanie. Spotkaliśmy się tam natychmiast i faktycznie nie mieliśmy wątpliwości, że to co zostało na kamiennym postumencie, nadaje się wyłącznie do wyburzenia. Grozy dopełniał widok Chrystusa Frasobliwego, który jest nieodłącznym elementem pomnika… postrzelanego śrutami. Kontekst Wielkiego Piątku był dla nas aż nadto czytelny… Jak wielkim trzeba być łajdakiem, żeby zdobyć się na tak haniebny czyn!

W minionym tygodniu strażacy z Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej zdemontowali pozostałości „barci” – głównej, drewnianej części pomnika.
